Bit the bullet and bought the new MacBook Pro 13" with touch bar. After using a mid-2010 MacBook as my primary computer since it was new...man, was the money worth it, haha.

I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but when you guys throw your Macbook in a bookbag do you always power it down? Does time spent in the bag factor in?

Does whatever a spider can. Prestigious

I rarely (if ever) power down my MacBook Pro. Maybe if I'm on a long road trip I might, but just commuting to and from work I let it sleep. Ever since they've been using SSDs instead of HDDs there hasn't been much of a need to shut it down when traveling.

Does this mean just the OS can be supported or just for parts.

Anyone ever have issues in iTunes with your changes in "Get Info" not saving?

No but I've run into issues of album art not saving or for the singles of an album it has the single artwork vs the album.

If I could just forget it

Yeah... I work in a cleanroom and any exposure to ambient air would fuck up so many processes. So that's absolutely believable for me.

I also happened to have one of the affected 6s models and it was the easiest thing in the world to get the battery replaced.

Honestly this is a huge failure on Apple if ambient air is causing their products to fail.

where in my post did i say it wasn't believable?

If I could just forget it

It was only a select number of 6s models that were affected. I don't know that it's a huge failure. Melting batteries across entire production runs strikes me as a huge failure.

  19. Did you even read the article? The apparent exposure during the assembly process caused the issue in a small number of products. Virtually all your electronics have parts that are assembled to avoid this exposure and would fail. A huge failure? Come on. Small issue with some phones shutting down and it's fixed. Hardly a huge failure.

The part where you mocked "ambient air" when you pretty clearly didn't know what it was ... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    The rivalry is back on

Why do I have to back up my phone to replace the battery? Feels like that should just be a basic thing that you can do without wiping the phone.

it's just a precaution. they'll ask you to back it up if you bring it in for pretty much any repair.
