the normie babe is a severely underappreciated woman by emo/punk dudes

 

had a very close friend who was a "bad person" and it was cool bc i also feel that i am a bad person, but at a certain point it was either cut off all contact with him or invest a lot more energy than i was willing to in the friendship, and so i chose the former. had a long talk with him about wanting to take the friendship down a level & it wasn't working & he wasn't respecting any of my boundaries and started doing the incessant contact thing again so /shrug

would have liked to have a type of friendship with him where we don't talk for months and then just hang out every few months. best kind of friendship imo. the majority of friendships are functional anyways & all attempts at disguising that result in miscommunication and hurt.

 

to balance out some of the recent questionable comments, i'd like to say that dudes who are normies at first glance but later turn out not to be are the most underrated kind of dude, followed closely by overtly not-normie dudes, followed not-so-closely by actual normies

I just seriously do not want to date. I have a FWB but dating is like the bane of my existence.

 

I don't know if I ever been a friend with a "bad person" overall but I definitely been friends with people with assholeish/bad person tendencies. Especially shitty people in relationships, even though I always was disgusted by it.
I grew up around that in my own family, the older I get now however I find relationships don't matter (blood or otherwise) if people aren't good or you or just in general.

Getting older in general has a lot of moments like that where you're having to make those decisions/grow apart. I split with friends/love interests/fam over everything from a dude always waving a confederate flag (and thinking to myself "How could I bring my girl over here [everyone always chilled there] with that PoS plastered in her face" to the fair weather nonsense to more deliberate shit like making a joke out of my own struggles.

 

I feel you. same boat.

 

Wanna know the worst part? our friends are getting married next week and RSVPd together a long time. i want to go but pretending like everythings okay is gonna kill me. especially when im trying to distance myself to help move on.

 

December for me is gunna be financial hell. Girl's birthday and Christmas within 2 weeks of one another (my best friend & Dad have a birthday right in the thick of that time as well) I'm finding myself always counting my pocket money even though I already know what I have lmao.
Don't even know what to get here really, I'll do my usual write her some poetry/draw her something but I gotta find another gift too and she's recently got this new job she's been enjoying the pay from.... a bit TOO MUCH. So I'm left here like "Okay, well, guess I'll have to have a talk with Riss (her best friend)" lol

We been together 5 years and I'm usually good at this, but I ALWAYS overthink and get nerves lmao.

 

This is the WORSE when me and my fiancee split a few years ago I had to go to a wedding a month later. All I could do not to stand up and be like "THIS WAS SUPPOSE TO BE ME AND BRITTANY! NOT YALL!" the hurt was real.

If you say things like "normie" and or "I'm a terrible person", chances are you're just a boring asshole, and not an asshole in the sense of the "cool, uncaring" archetype, rather, the standard edition asshole whose whole persona rests upon being emotionally weak.

 

Had to go to one of my bandmates wedding like 2 weeks after my 4 1/2 year relationship ended. He ended up asking me to "DJ" the wedding (he gave me a playlist to put on shuffle). So basically I got to hide in the corner drinking and eating cake.
