Wish I could travel too. I'm so broke and will be for the foreseeable future.

 

After reading the views of a staff member from AP on addiction (I'm unclear of her status here), I will no longer be posting here. I have (I believe) cancelled my supporter subscription. If you want to get in touch with me, you know how. This kind of behavior is, in my opinion, unacceptable and I will no longer continue to interact in a place where members honestly believe this. I'm posting this in a few places because I believe it deserves to be seen.

 

my car is inevitably breaking and I can't afford a new one, so I can't wait!

 

I'm trying to start school again in the fall. I'll essentially be doubling my monthly income doing that. lol

 

yeah, the perk of owning a totaled civic was that it retained a lot of value despite being around 10 yrs old so I was able to put a pretty big down payment on a new-ish civic

The engine went out in my brother's car on Sunday. $3k fix on a car worth $5-6k. Yay.

To those that are considering or committed to leaving Chorus, let me say this:

I don't think it is fair to @Jason Tate to jump ship. It's obvious to me that he's scrambling to figure out how to deal with enormously complex issues like this on this website he launched just days ago. I know Jake's feelings are super important here, as are those who support him. I support that. But please consider all of the things Jason is trying to accomplish to get this site—his new livelihood sustainable.

I haven't seen Anna post on this site once. I don't agree with what she tweeted at all. I strongly disagree with it, in fact. But leaving because she was affiliated with ap.net and is loosely affiliated here, seems rash. After all, if you want to see a strong and supportive community here, you have allies moderating these forums that aren't Anna or Kayla. At least give @Jason Tate a second to wake up and catch up with what's happening before you pull your support. When everything went down the other day, I could barely keep up and I wasn't the admin getting dozens of PMs and support refund requests to look at all at the same time.

I know everyone is upset and for good reason, but I hope that some of you take a second to breathe and think for a moment all of the repercussions regarding up and leaving. This isn't just about Jason either. You're all super supportive of others that aren't Jake. Leaving means those people lose allies because of something that was said by a person who said something triggering outside of this site. I don't see leaving when something like this comes up as supportive at all.

 

I'm leaving because I don't feel comfortable or safe. You can't decide that for me.

 

I support your decision. This forum doesn't seem to be a healthy place for you, although I'm sure many of the users here will continue to support you outside of this URL.

 

Just because one person is a jerk doesn't mean that @Jason Tate and this new site should be punished.

I don't even know who that girl is. I've never seen/heard of her until now.

 

it isn't about anyone being punished though, it's about individual users feeling unsafe/uncomfortable

 

I've seen this thread (and the other). I need 5 minutes to finish two things. And probably 10 to read and then write.

 

I honestly don't mean to troll you by what you said here, just again asking for a call to logic. I'm sorry if that's irksome but if you don't want to support a place that makes you and your friends uncomfortable, will you stop browsing Twitter? Will you go out of your way to get an ad blocker that allows you to stop the ad elements of this site so no ad revenue is coming through for Jason to keep the lights on for others that find comfort here?

 

Is Anna affiliated with Chorus like she was with AP? Why are she and Kayla choosing to take pot shots on other platforms instead of engaging in a potentially productive discussion that has been going on here? I thought they were all about that kind of thing. These are things I would like answers to.

 

I'm sad now. I don't want you guys to leave. This really sucks.
