I think that opinion is pretty popular on here atm. They always seem untouchable on absolutepunk though. Ive certainly seen some posters on here do a 180 on them (no naming though)

Im with you here. They've turned into a proper band that can go the longhaul now. I cant even listen to Tell All Your Friends these days. It just not something i can relate to anymore as i get older, wiser and generally less whiny.

Confession. Ive never heard a single 21 Pilots song. ShOuld i?

In The Wake Of Determination was a banger of an album. The riffs, the melodies. That album should have been way more popular than Page Avenue. Plus I bet a ton of hardcore bands wish they couldve written Meathead, the same can be said for Thrash bands and Is This My Fate? (I seriously think Metallica wouldve been proud of that riff)

Those are the best bands. These days i spend more time going back and listening to bands/albums that i wrote off rather than new releases.

the Sex Pistols were from what I can gather more about the look than the music, they have some jams though

 

I watched a documentary on them and it's far more interesting than the album they made. They're all a bunch of liars who can't get their story straight though. One minute Steve Jones played all of the guitar and bass for the record, the next Chris Spedding did. The only thing they could agree on consistently was that Sid was an awful bass player

 

lots of those bands are given fair amounts of praise but the pistols are not one of them haha. truly terrible

 

Never Mind The Bollocks could have been a hell of an EP but as a full album... nah.

When I was like 13 I wore a RIP Sid Vicious shirt on his death anniversary cause I thought I was cool and punk af. I think a lot of love for them has died down. Anecdotally, in college I took a history of punk music class and most people didn't think too highly of them.

 

Steve Jones gets a lot of praise for his tight guitar work, but aside from that yeah hindsight hasnt been kind to the pistols.
