So Bruce seems like a done deal?

I can honestly say that Jurgen, and all of his misguided tactics and condescension towards the fans REALLY turned me off of not just the nats, but the sport in general over the last two years.

The USMNT is basically the most important team to me in all of sports, yet I couldn't even bring myself to watch their recent matches...because it just wasn't worth it anymore. The fun was sucked out, there was no satisfaction involved. Why spend 3 hours watching something that no longer brings you happiness?

This is a fresh start; a return to a genuine and honest foundation that we seriously lacked without any semblance of leadership up top. We may end up being just as abysmal on the field under Bruce as how he left us off back in 06. But he gives a shit. And as someone desperately hoping to be able to give a shit or two again, that's really all I can ask for.

Wild that it's been 10 years since Bruce 1.0

  5. We aren't gonna make it out the group stage and that is embarrassing.

  7. Wild how much of a bummer this season has turned into since the demolishing of City.

    I blame international breaks.

Spurs were tied for about 30 seconds before giving up the lead again.

  9. Seems like at least one of our guys has picked up an injury during each international break.

  10. Poch coming out and saying we aren't good enough/ready for Champions League play at this point. I guess I like this better than making excuses as to why we didn't perform well. Injuries have definitely been an issue (every team deals with that to an extent) and it seems like Poch hasn't been comfortable with any specific formation due to those injuries. By the way he's talking, it sounds like Poch wants to add more talent in January. It'll be interesting to see who he targets but I doubt anything happens until the summer.

Alright, it's about that time of the year now that baseball is over that all my attention gets focused towards soccer. Bummed I haven't watched any of Liverpool's games thus far, but excited to do so for the rest of the season.

Watching Arsenal vs PSG right now!

Cavani has to be the most frustrating player to be a fan of.

  20. Sure would be nice if the spending spree they did go on didn't result in mostly underwhelming players. Starting to feel like the Bale signings all over again. The fucking Sissoko signing will haunt me for life.

Also I get that he had to deal with a depleted roster yesterday but that still doesn't excuse him resting some first XI players for a league match this weekend. Losing to Chelsea doesn't rule us out of a league title or next year's CL. Losing to Monaco meant, at best (or at worst, depending on perspective), more fucking Europa League. You're really gonna sit Jan in favor of a brand new fucking CB pairing of Dier/Wimmer? Fuck. And Trippier was absolutely horrific but hey at least we have Walker rested for one league game that we may lose anyway.

This fucking sucks and Poch/the front office deserves a lot of the blame.

We're up to the dizzying heights of 23rd best team in the world. IMO the top 32 teams in the world rankings should automatically qualify for the World Cup.
