I know this is super anal-retentive, but I tend to notice little things...

On the main news page, the buttons are ordered comments-twitter-facebook, but when you go the the article page, they are ordered twitter-facebook-comments. I feel like they should be ordered twitter-facebook-comments on the main news page so that they "match" the article pages.

I like the hard line of that Facebook logo on the far right side of a news post. It's the biggest one, so the square anchors that side. FB in the middle just makes it feel off to me from a weight perspective.

So when you look at it on the homepage it goes: "comment, twitter, facebook." So, on the single/main page, if you went "comment, twitter, facebook" it would be the same order, just rotated clockwise.

This change has been made because I am right there with in "now that I saw it it will bug me forever" (and I'm mad I missed it the first time).

Ahh didn't even think of the shape of the button and how it aligns. Nice. Thank you! The site really does look phenomenal. It's clean looking, the spacing is perfect (not too scrunched, not too spaced out), and things load super fast.

 

Thank you! Those are basically ... like the exact words I was thinking about as I started putting it together. So, that brings a huge smile to my face!

 

Is this the place where I mention that a dedicated fashion forum might be a good idea? I thought about just making a thread in general, but realized one thread would be way to broad of a topic to condense to one thread. Just kind of thinking out loud here.

Whenever I'm posting on mobile I don't have the options to use emojis, and when I use the general Android emojis they come out as regular emoticons. This is probably an Android issue but it still makes me sad nonetheless

 

If you move to landscape mode the emoji option will be there. You can also use the little shortcodes for them as well.

there are like a half dozen location/city specific threads (youre welcome for my great idea everyone), but maybe they should get a subforum in general or something?

 

is this only on safari? because for whatever reason chrome on my 6 running 9.3 doesn't display anything like that. just "reply to thread" with the plus sign that expands to "follow this thread/receive email notifications"

 

What should that be called?

 

I don't have Chrome installed to look, maybe they mess up the size of the screen on there? Not sure. I plan to fix it for the 5S soon though which should fix that.

 

@Chaplain Tappman I'm also kinda ok with the "local" threads in general right now. Since we moved all the music out of there it's not as crazy.

 

hm you know what i actually just tried the site with safari for the first time and its not there either. weird weird weird. maybe i'm messing up somewhere.

Did anyone happen to archive the last few interviews? I had open tabs on some that I was meaning to read and with the transition to the new site they are now gone. It was Silverstein, Underoath, and one other band.....I forget who it was but it was also a recent one.

 

I've got an idea. Is there a way to make the formal reviews in a separate forum than all other news? Feel like it would make the main page forum flow better.

Also, I can't remember if it was AP or another forum that I frequent.....when on the main page of a certain thread list is there any way to show on the list, that you've posted in that thread? You've got the blue circle which means New Posts, no circle for No New Posts, and the check mark which means you've visited that thread. But nothing specific for "hey I posted in that thread". Yeah there is that link for the threads you follow but is there any image notification.

For instance the "What video games are you playing?" thread has that little red dot signifying I've posted in there.

Now that I mention it, I think AP had a bold "something" to show you had posted in that thread?
