Normally this is true. With Ted Nugent however this will never be true lol

that dear leap album is fine, didn't draw me in much. everything they've done is good but not great enough for me to ever really go back to it

Oh word I've never heard full comps just their covers

 

yeah there are two or three full album comps by cool artists

 

there's one for bleach, nevermind and in utero. i doubt they do incesticide. circa is on one of them. pretty good comps

 

I don't like nirvana

 

they have some decent tunes. his voice has grown grating over the years, but the melodies and writing are pretty top notch

 

Nirvana are wonderful. Those comps are good but they dont touch the originals imo

Im with you on this. It has some decent stuff but much of post futures jimmy just doesnt stick for me.

I agree. I wonder if its because his early work, like much music of the era was based on vey simplistic song structure compared to more modern songwriting. Sometimes i listen to music from that period and just think "is this just verse, chorus, verse, chorus....where is the brdge, the middle 8?"

My most recent unpopular music opinion:

The Sex Pistols really sucked ad Public Image Limited are far better. Bands like The Skids and The Ruts deserve far more to be held in the same regard as The Sex Pistols. It's all irrelevant anyway because The Clash rule over all first wave punk bands.

 

Pearl Jam are my least favourite of the big four grunge bands. Because i do not consider them a grunge band. They are one of the greatest bands ever Though.

I think Jimmy eat world's best stuff is post Futures tbh. most of their discography tho

 

With you both. Chase This Light is pretty great but other than that, none of the post-Futures stuff comes anywhere near to Clarity, Bleed American and Futures.

 

Every JEW album is special

 

I finally listened to the new JEW and the end of "Pass the Baby" left me wanting them to make a stoner rock record

 

It's hard to see because most of us love them on this site but JEW is extremely underrated still. Most people know them for 3 hits at most and don't know they still make music

 

I bought tickets for JEW's show next weekend and I'm going with my coworker who I think only knows a few of their songs from OTH and a cinderella story and if her world isn't changed forever afterwards I'm gonna be upset!!!
