It is. I want a project where they go instrumental all the way. Or expand the live show later on to incorporate a portion where they can "jam" out. Like some have said I thought the best part of the set was the three (mostly) instrumental tracks off the last album.

Rumor going around that they're working on a Christmas song. Supposedly Matty said so at the show last night.. haha

I guess this is just the thread for this band as I couldn't find any others, but I really need to say how great I think the song Medicine is by these guys. Probably top 3 for me personally, the whole atmosphere of the song, especially the big outro with the way all the different sounds are layered, is incredible and I have found myself listening to it as the last song before I go to sleep each night!
The line "and you opiate this hazy head of mine" is great too,

Yep, one of the biggest flip-flop, trend-hopping moments of the magazine's life. Ridiculous, they would post and PRINT such negative, spiteful, childish type reviews or pieces and even awarded them "Worst Band In The World" at their awards ceremony a couple of years ago if I recall correctly.

The 1975 outline plans to headline Glastonbury and Reading/Leeds festivals - NME

The 1975 have outlined their plans to headline both Glastonbury Festival and Reading and Leeds over the next few years.

The band released their second album ‘I Like It When You Fall Asleep For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It‘ – NME‘s album of the year for 2016 – in February.

In the summer, they played a memorable sunset set at Glastonbury’s Other Stage. Speaking to NME in this week’s magazine, frontman Matt Healy details his plans for the next couple of years, which include releasing new music and headlining the country’s biggest festivals.

“We’ll put something out next year, whether it be a single or an EP, album in 2018,” he said, going on to claim that The 1975 will “headline Reading and Leeds that year, headline Glastonbury the year after or the year after that.”

“I mean, I haven’t got the offers yet,” Healy added. “But
I tell you now, I’m doing it. Who else is going to do it?”

Reflecting back upon aims for their album, Healy said: “We wanted it to feel very cinematic and it is almost the length of a film. We got to the point where we were told it wouldn’t fit on a CD
if we carried on. It was just this really exciting creative bender, and the more ridiculous it got,
the more subversive it got.”

“There’s fuck all wrong with the album. Nothing. It’s perfect for me. I could spend another two years on it and maybe make it three per cent better.”

So unbelievably curious where they're going to go next. If he doesn't think they can make a better album, they're gonna completely shift their sound

He didn't necessarily say they can't make a better album. He said they can't make THAT album better. Each record stands for something else.

Departure in sound or not, I'm confident they're the type of band to push themselves to beat the last thing they've done so I'm very excited to see what they'll do next. Both records in my opinion are flawless

"Loving Someone" was the song I was the most looking forward to seeing and hearing live from the second I pressed play on this album and I'm so glad it's become a live staple and a big moment of the set now.
