Yes, circa 1996. Everything they made for N64 was great. Goldeneye, Diddy Kong Racing, Perfect Dark, Jet Force Gemini, Banjo-Kazooie.

 

Then Microsoft bought them and it all went to shit.

They made good games for Microsoft, just different, like Viva Piñata (and a lot of people in the industry liked Nuts & Bolts). Some would argue those are better than the N64 games.

 

I personally enjoyed the 3D platformer that launched with the 360, and Viva Piñata.

They basically only made Kinect games since then (plus some random stuff like the Avatars), which weren't bad for Kinect games. I personally think the Rare hate is overblown, just like the Rare nostalgia is.

 

Sea of Thieves could be cool.

I impulsively bought Watch Dogs last night and played for a few hours. It's all I can think about at work today. Ugh

Viva Piñata is great

 

Everyone says Viva Pinata is great. I played it for....30-45 minutes, maybe more and thought it was horribly boring. Feel like I was missing something...

Yeah what Dirty Sanchez said, if you care about trophies then start a separate save file. Personally I'm not fussed with trophies so I just used my main save file.
