I had to unfollow Colin Moriarty tonight. Although I enjoy listening to his opinions on video games, mainly because they're always so weird and out there, his politics is just too much. He described the white supremacist Stephen Bannon as "smart", and then when he received backlash from his followers, he didn't take it so well. Ugh. He's so obnoxious I have no idea why I was following him in the first place, ha. He didn't vote for Clinton or Trump (he went with Gary Johnson), but I remember he said if he had to choose he'd go with Trump. I don't even know if I can support Kinda Funny anymore tbh.

Colin is a hypocrite and a know-it-all. He's also usualy completely wrong about the video game industry, yet he's always so convinved his nonsense opinions are on point. His shitty and misguided political opinions are even worse.

 

Yeah, I won't be watching Kinda Funny anymore. Colin doesn't seem like a good guy at all, makes me question how the others can be friends with someone who it isn't a stretch to imagine is unpleasant and difficult to work with. Meh.

I think you can't believe what Steve Bannon believes and still be smart. Cunning is not intelligence.

As far as Colin goes, maybe he is different in real life. That still does not excuse this nonsense though.

I never fucked with Kind Of Funny anyway. The whole "Giant Bomb But Without The Expertise And Realness" concept never appealed to me.

 

I haven't liked Colin ever since he enslaved Gob. I have no regrets about the grenade-in-pocket incident.

 

Mods are live on Fallout for PS4. I've never used mods before, and obviously they're different than how they work on PC. Though should I use them on a save file that isn't my main? Or does it not matter?

 

Found out that Skyrim Special Edition disables achievements if you use mods.

But not if you use console commands on PC...

So in lieu of an official way to respec, I've been adding/removing perks and redistributing attributes, all in relation to my character level, of course. I'm no cheater. Also, instead of giving myself money, I give merchants money so I can sell stuff more easily haha.

Making skills Legendary (when a skill reaches 100, reset to 15 and have all perks in that tree returned to you) has helped me level up more quickly, gaining more perks. I've already made Conjuration Legendary once and Alteration and Illusion Legendary twice. Pretty easy to exploit with spells like Muffle and Telekinesis that don't require an enemy nearby.

 

this is a weird position for me as a completionist to take but i'm a-ok with game breaking to get achievements. anything short of using steam achievement manager is acceptable to me. it's funny cause i'm supposed to have more honor, but to me it's all part of the game of getting the achievements, finding a way to get around it is part of it. so i get annoyed at that. especially when it's implemented like it was in Deus Ex Revision, and even when you don't cheat they're still restricted.

 

It's weird because you can use the console to give yourself all of the perks in the game and a bajillion health at the start, but load one visual enhancement mod and achievements are disabled.

 

especially frustrating given one of skyrim's strengths, and one of the main reasons for upgrading the game to 64-bit... is mods

That Assassins Creed article was very interesting. The story is what draws me in to that series, so I hope it isn't lacking in the new game. I'm still excited for it, and I think taking an extra year on it could do great for them.

 

Has anyone who plays overwatch on PS4 had lag issues? Other online games are fine it's just overwatch that has completely unplayable lag. I'm on wifi so I may go buy a (very very long) Ethernet cable but I'd hate to do that and it still lag

 

I haven't but I've heard of a lot of people having lag specifically over the past 4-5 days

 

I figured it might be because of free play weekend, I did find a really long Ethernet cable so I'm gonna try it out and see if it helps

 

After taking a prolonged break from the game earlier in the year, I finally started back up on Ori and The Blind Forestand beat it. Found basically 98% of everything because I missed a couple of things in areas you can't go back to.

Everything about that game I absolutely love. It can be challenging but never unfair. I always wanted to try "one more time" at things. Music and artwork/direction is gorgeous. The subtle story will make you feel. Heartfelt. I bought the definitive edition for $4.99 extra so I can now play that version.

 

Ori is one of the exclusives on XB1 that makes me sad I don't have one.

 

I bought it a while back and still haven't played it. I will. Eventually.
