Is it one you need to see in theaters or can I wait to stream it? Mama wants to see it now but I really have no interest.

 

Finding the time for a 3.5 hr film is a challenge

it was awesome to see in theaters with some gorgeous shots and the sound design was great but if you have no interest it might be a long 3.5 hours. It is really good though. Like there will be blood but with architecture.

 

A) be patient when you could hurt somebody
B) it’s not your job to police somebody about how they handle traffic laws, worry about your own
C) you should expect obstacles that make you go slower than necessary in a city to begin with. If you wouldn’t cut it close to an accident to zoom around someone parallel parking or a truck unloading or construction workers etc, don’t do it to a bike
D) there is nowhere safe / legal for a bike to be if there’s no bike lane. Before you get mad at WHY IS HE RIDING HERE consider that our other options are getting hit by parked car doors / mirrors or illegally riding on the sidewalk where pedestrians constantly are a risk
E) basing your entire opinion of cyclists from a car drivers point of view is actually backward logic, we should be looking at how to reinvent roads so they accommodate carless travel, not how to make roads even faster and more hostile to anyone who doesn’t drive a car. That’s one thing Americans are really backward about and it goes against a lot of other left leaning incentives we in Chorus would support
F) acting like cyclists are bigger assholes than drivers is definitely biased. How many drivers do stupid ass dangerous shit cause they’re late and have road rage. People are just dicks when they’re trying to get somewhere in general, it’s not one or the other, only difference is one group of commuters is driving a 2 ton weapon yet everyone acts like the other ones are the larger problem

 

I say all that admitting cyclists can be huge assholes but even in that scenario the driver should acknowledge the context and be the bigger person. At the end of the day you’re in a huge danger inducing vehicle that can’t stop or maneuver as easily and you will still get where you’re going way faster than the cyclist even if they delayed you by a couple minutes, so chill out and let the cyclist handle their hazardous and exhausting commute even if you don’t agree with their methods. I do agree with Randall. We should be looking at ways to get rid of car travel as much as possible. I only take issue with cyclists who are in the dead center of a lane when there is space on the right shoulder so you can’t pass them at all

Yup and that’s the part I don’t think Randall fully gets when we all complain about cyclists. Ride on a bike path or on the edge of the road but riding in the middle is a douche move.
