Thought this was really good with my only gripe being the first half noticeably better or maybe more interesting aside from the marble scenes.

I feel like this movie is way more mainstream accessible than I was expecting

It’s paced really well despite being so long and shot so beautifully

I don’t think this is a spoiler but the use of archival footage was great too

Started listening to that Big Picture podcast on the drive home and the “it’s an allegory for the making of the movie itself” unlocks it for me

Yeah my very simplified reading was that it’s about a director getting a movie financed and sneaking in more personal themes that the backers weren’t expecting. However, there’s more there than just being a movie about making movies

Cannot tell you how pleasurable the intermission made this for me. Put those in every film, I don’t care if it’s 90 minutes. A little break to go get a hot dog is so nice in the middle of a film rather than the beginning.

    The movie was good too

Movie is very good. I might try and catch it again in theaters.

At intermission currently. So far this is a 10/10. This soundtrack is remarkable

Got out of it a while ago. 10/10, no notes. Seeing a lot folks not digging how dark the second half gets but I think it’s duality worked pretty nicely.
