This site and the whole scene itself was so elitist since day 1. It can be seen here clearly as well from having opinion that differ from the mods/owners of the site on this case or liking or not an album subjectively against the elitist reviewer opinion, and if you dare to disagree with it all you get personal online abuse. If thats the case, that is wild to me. No work has to be done? Forgiveness by the survivors is not required? No actions on Jesse’s part is necessary? It’s just the fact that it happened a while ago is enough?

Again, if you're unable to read his post, and this one: Abuse of Power and the Legacy of Jesse Lacey and still pretend you "need proof," what you are doing is lying to yourself to make yourself feel better about your actions. Again, free yourself to listen to the music, no one really gives a fuck, but stop lying to yourself that the person that made the music somehow didn't actually do the things they admit to doing and are very, very credibly accused of doing. You don't need to defend the actions of someone that made some music you like by being a stereotypical victim blaming ass online. I feel like to make this argument you should be forced to say what that "opinion that differ" is. Please, spell it out specifically. Because the opinion a lot of people are expressing here is: it's fucked up the band didn't stop people from harassing women, it's fucked up the band didn't take real accountability, and maybe they shouldn't get to pretend nothing happen and just carry on.

What is the opinion of those that differ? Which part, specifically, do you have an issue with on those opinions? It's easy to obfuscate behind "an opinion is different," so I'd actually like to know what part of the "opinion" differs?
