He was asked directly about the Jiricek situation. I think there was a lot lost in translation. and I have seen 2 different quotes kind of meshed together.

I don't think NJ in their wildest dreams thought Kovacevic would be as good as he has been this year. If Fitzgerald were smart, he would try to dump Dougie Hamilton, get Kovy to sign a mid-range deal to stay, and then bam Nemec replaces Hamilton.

I would also be okay at this point trading Nemec for a similarly aged young forward.

 

John klingberg is back and signed with Edmonton. Hope the hip resurfacing did the trick.
