Columbine is probably one of the first for me too. I have vague memories of like Desert Storm and being really scared because my uncle was over there, but Columbine is the first time I remember seeing something on the news and thinking about how something like that could potentially happen to me

there was a guy on my dorm floor that would make “jokes” about gun stuff and then his room got raided by the FBI for drug related things and it was found that he had basically a “hit list” that i and a few other dorm people were on and he went away for a long time and got killed in prison. bleak
