As a former forensic psychotherapist you must understand the importance of paying attention to what’s actually being said. Firstly, he isn’t a convicted sex offender - we’re not talking about convicted sex offenders and I did not put that in my post… Secondly, the last part of my post (included in your quote) clearly says without intervention. This would very much mean intervention by the Police and criminal justice system, e.g. conviction. There’s a big difference between someone who has been convicted of an offence and someone who has offended and for all intents and purposes ‘got away with it.’ Happy to take this debate privately (DM) but your derogatory reply ignoring what I actually said was unwelcome.

 

And this is one of the most pertinent things.

 

People on Reddit believe it might be an ~industry~ event or invite-only because those who guessed/knew the code and bought tickets, had those tickets refunded shortly after purchasing them and they changed the code lol. who knows.

 

That makes sense. But if they really wanted to raise money they'd open it up

I don’t pretend to know what someone does or does not care about or what their agenda is. Also it’s possible that people are Reddit are lying or talking out of their ass. Which also happens on this website. It’s a big part of the internet

 

I didn’t ignore what you said at all. A Sex Offender is someone convicted of a sex offense, at least in most American jurisdictions anyways. And, yeah, I think the semantics are important in this case. Someone who has acted out sexually and wasn’t convicted is not a Sex Offender, and, yes, is therefore actually at greater risk of hurting other others.

But, anyways, I’m really not trying to be combative. For real, I admire what you do. That field is burnout city.

 

No one is surprised by the possibility of this happening which is why something is being said now. I don't think that's hard to understand. Everyone is saying something because...they're obviously gearing up to being fully public again. So we're saying something while they're making these charity performances

 

If we waited until the tour and album were announced people would be like "where were you when all these other shows happened????" It's not a winnable situation. We're just doin what we can, which is not very much because we are music fans on a music site. So really it just comes down to sharing opinions and educating
