was thinking about seeing Wolf Man tonight but the reviews are giving me a bit of pause, I'm on the fence about it

 

Yeah, reviews look mixed and say the film is lacking actual scares in favor of psychological and body horror, which still sounds pretty up my alley

 

Yeah not too sure about the critical reception yet but I did see that Christopher Abbott stated being heavily influenced by Cronenberg and The Fly for his role

 

I decided to compromise and see it for half price on Tuesday so at least if it's bad my broke ass won't be hurting too much

but knowing how my taste has been lining up with the consensus recently (not at all especially on certain monster movies) watch me end up loving it lmao. I heavily fucked with the Benicio del Toro one when I was a teenager

 

"The Shining by way of The Fly" definitely had me hooked, even if I obviously don't expect it to be as good as either of those

Pretty sure I got this new trailer before Nosferatu and it showed a lot. Not watching it to check, but just forewarning.

the conundrum of wanting to see horror movies in theaters but also wanting to not see trailers in the theaters

 

Plus they show those jump scare trailers that freak me out lol

 

I'm mostly just worried about getting COVID in theaters lol

 

Is that Blair Witch Project restoration going to be available anywhere or as anything other than a regional UK blu-ray?

 

I had a beer earlier to calm my nerves and poured a bit out for the man himself

today feels almost as surreal as a David Lynch film and I’m still just so heartbroken

 

RIP Lynch. where he's going the birds sing a pretty song, and there's always music in the air

 

I liked Wolf Man enough, but it was a very paint-by-numbers horror movie. Definitely saw the Fly influence in the transformation which was cool but I can’t say I love the look in a wolf man movie

 

Seeing wolf man with my dad on Monday.

 

Presence had it's flaws but I really enjoyed it. Soderbergh's camera work was wild. Kinda reminded me of Unsane.
