Supposedly a fundraiser for LA fire relief, but also saw in a reddit thread there was a deleted comment that said it was also a bit of a soft launch of some Jesse solo shows and then maybe a full band thing late in the year depending how it went. Could be total bullshit of course but seems like honestly there is too much floating around for it not to have some merit

This is the greatest thing I've read today.

Connie agreed to the tour via management and the agent. They are are still on it. For once ronnie was actually right. Let’s see when they actually drop off.

feels like there's been a new bn return rumor every year since 2018 but for some reason this one feels like it might have wheels to me based on their/JL's activity lately.

 

It makes sense that it might be more low key with him just using his name. I wonder if he will go the Sun kil moon route and just try to do more low key stuff

 

This *is* the year (and possibly upcoming half-decade) of certain people feeling safe to express their true feelings and act on them. Seems like they’d be foolish not to seize the American day.

 

I don’t think it’s the same situation as mark but those shows he did at Venice west were some of his best and he dropped his bs banter that we saw before. BN were rehearsing at Mates in Burbank. Regardless of how we feel, every single show will sell out esp them doing selective theaters first, they don’t have to test the waters.

 

I would just hope the solo show to raise money for the California fires is the purpose, and it’s not a disguise for him soft launching a solo tour to then a Brand New return. That would be … very bad.

Even if no money goes to him, there’s other ways to donate and raise money for the fires than this. Not something I’d go to and support, but I just don’t have the place to criticize someone for going.

 

I’ll always be cynical w anything from this band even before the accusations came but form what you know is the band getting back by interscope? It’s odd they are doing a devil and god repress and this show is at an inter scope execs house

 

Couldn’t tell you. They were there rehearsing, I said what’s up because I did shows with them in nj a million years ago and I was with a nj band and left it as that in the parking lot. I didn’t hear about this acoustic show until today

 

What band did you play in @Longnights? I’m from Jersey!

 

It would not shock me whatsoever if/when BN tours again - that they attach ticket proceeds to some type of nonprofit or cause (to try and look like the good guys!!!)

They played a private benefit show recently. Jesse is playing a public benefit show for LA fire funds. Apparently the full band has been rehearsing.

EDIT - This is complete sarcasm FYI in case it's not clear.

 

BN is 100% announcing a tour in the next couple of weeks. ~4,000 capacity rooms.

 

If they do a tour, this may be the lone exception where I kind of want scalpers to get all the tickets.
