We reach for the longest shadow

They've been cool in the past I think they just got called out and feel the need to double down.

Poor baby, you're starting to lose it.

I've figured out what "Someone Who Can" reminds me of. Not like Coheed borrowed from it or anything, but it has a similar anthemic feel of Van Halen "Dreams". I love it, especially the soaring guitar leads at the end.

I was obsessed with this song when I was a kid (thank you Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Movie)

Song rips. Can't listen to this song and not have a big, cheesy smile on my face.

I'm currently reading Alex Van Halen's autobiography. Apparently the Hagar years are excluded.

I was just saying this to my brother! You could play them back to back at a baseball game between innings and no one would bat an eye

last 2 singles are great, still not digging Sonny yet. Always excited for new Coheed. Josh was randomly at a show my band played at the Worcester Palladium nearly 20 years after I saw them there for the first time. Absolutely wild experience.

Blind Side Sonny finally grew on me TODAY. First heard it on the Incubus tour in August and was more baffled than anything.

We reach for the longest shadow

Each time I listen through the singles, it grows on me little by little. I still don't like it anywhere near as close to the others, but it's a fun little 2 minute detour. I'll probably feel more that way in the context of the album.

  17. It matches up really well stylistically with "Play the Poet."

    Newbie

Blows my mind, the record comes out in 2 months and they don't have any pre-orders up, other than the deluxe box set. I;m sure if that had sold out, they would have posted regular cds/vinyl/shirts.

I'm starting to think Someone Who Can might be one of my favorite Coheed songs...it just feels timeless and is a convergence of everything I like about music. Not for everyone but its basically tailormade for me

I love it too. Newness and all, but potentially one of my favorite "poppy" Coheed songs.

Yeah Jesus Christ! It’s like Van Halen meets Bruce Hornsby and the Range.

Do they have other songs like this that I just haven’t been hearing? Haven’t listened to a full record since IV Part 2.
