I liked the anime, but thought it was weird it only had like 12 episodes. I’m glad there’ll be more.

 

Netflix is a damn tease. I saw there was two episodes of Sakamoto Days and I was like hell yeah. I watch the first episode and then I find out they just posted the release date for episode 2 smh.

great first episode though I’m very excited

 

The 2nd episode must’ve been released somewhere else because there are two episodes out there.

 

Damn that sucks. I don’t mind the wait but it feels weird to put two episodes out as a thing on Netflix. lol

 

I jumped back into watching Bleach for the first time a week ago. I started it a couple years ago but fell off after the big Soul Society arc for no reason really. Just finished the OG run of the show and it’s been a blast. I skipped filler so that shaved a lot of time off. Really excited to start TYBW. My friend has been hyping it up the last week as I made my way to it, so I have high expectations.

 

All I know about Dandadan (the anime) is that there's a pretty gross scene early on. I'm at B&N so I decided to take a peak (at the manga) and I indeed felt gross. She's a child? Wtf?

 

That’s a common criticism and I sincerely do not understand it at all. It’s in no way presented as an acceptable thing to be happening to her. Nor is it played as some sort of comedic or light moment or whatever

 

I got kinda bored with JJBA once Stands were introduced, as I didn’t like how most of the episodes were enemies-of-the-week challenges that distracted from the main villains. But I’ve come around to it as it’s the closest thing to scratching the HunterxHunter itch for me, because Stand abilities could very literally be anything

Like even an ostensibly silly or lame ability puts them on the verge of death simply because figuring out how the ability operates is 75% of what’s required to actually beat it, so the characters treat them with the same level of precaution and strategizing that HxH characters take with nen abilities. And I feel like that becomes more and more true as the series goes on and Stand abilities become increasingly weirder and usually have more conditions to them

 

yeah tbh i do have zero context. other than the controversy surrounding that scene i've heard it's a good series.

 

Ok, so I’ve watched 5 eps of My Dress-Up Darling and I’m a fan so far. I was getting Rent-a-Girlfriend vibes at first with the main character around the opposite sex but thankfully he isn’t as bad.

Gojo, my man, all that playing with Hina dolls is about to pay off!

Real shame about all the ugly CG in GQUACKS (it really hurt the final Evangelion movie as well) but still pretty interested.

What are some of the better Gundam series? Loved Wing growing up, it was a bit rough when I tried to rewatch it. Absolutely love 08th MS Team. I remember G Gundam being fun as a kid

 

I really love Iron-Blooded Orphan personally

 

I went through a huge Gundam phase during 2020 and watched a lot. Original, Zeta, Wing, IBO, 00, War in the Pocket, IBO, Fighter G, and 08 MS Team.

this might be sacrilege, but I might like 00 the best.

 

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin is fucking fantastic and only 4 episodes. Forgot about that one.

 

I plan on getting to that, X, and the Build series eventyally
Turn A is what I really want to watch though, but the DVDs are a lot.

 

CG looks great to me, gives battles visceral momentum and the mobile suits move mechanically
