Yeah but Anora is not and I wanted to watch Anora

 

But a lot of the bigger movies are so rarely under 2 hours.

 

i've never done a theatrical double feature or beyond, but i've contemplated it in the past. closest i got was going on back to back days in 2023 to see Talk to Me and Barbie. it would have to depend on what's playing to take that plunge, but i'm also not sure if i currently have the time to pull it off.

 

The whole movie is great. But sitting down just to watch the last hour or so would be a treat.

 

it did end up splitting pretty well, not a bad movie to watch in two parts

I do not understand the want for a “Goonies” sequel. Like, I have the lukewarm take that it’s not that good of a movie. But it’s also clearly a product of being released at the right time.

Feels like it will 100% be something adults with arrested development and a fear of the unknown say they want until they realize all the goonies are old as hell and they don’t know any of the young actors that will undoubtedly play their kids.

 

I showed my wife The Goonies the week we started dating and she still brings it up as one of the worst things I’ve ever made her watch.

I love it but I know that’s the nostalgia taking, and I definitely don’t want a sequel.

 

Someone got paid a lot of money to come up with this

 

Digital badges and trophies are totally useless to me. Send me some physical versions of those and then I’ll be impressed.

 

Anytime you hear someone say they want more Goonies, just tell them to watch Skelton Crew.

 

Everyone already said what I was gonna say about Emilia Perez, so as a trans woman who has zero desire to see it, all I'll add is fuck that shit. The fact that that's winning awards where I Saw the TV Glow wasn't even nominated is disgraceful

 

Also think Goonies is overrated but Gremlins is my shit

 

One more thing: if you wanna give an old white guy his flowers, maybe do so when the movies isn't an offensive pile of dogshit

 

I always just have my ID out ready to go so I couldn't really tell you if they ask for it or not

 

they do this shit at Jimmy Johns too. they'll be like "order the spicy ranch wrap twice in the next week to unlock the 'ranch lover badge'" and then if you unlock it, it's just a little image that shows up in the app lmao

 

Add Wicked to the list of movies I walked out of because I wasn't feeling well halfway through, ugh. Will try again later. Good so far.

Only other times I walked out were Dune 2 and, uh, some space travel movie with excessive shaky cam, I can't remember if it was Ad Astra or First Man.

So liek, I've seen Dune 2 2.5 times.
