Dortmund just lost in Kiel. The air is getting thin for Sahin. I wonder how long they keep him.

Genuinely impressive how Dortmund manage to find new ways to disappoint each season. And then also get to a CL final.

Wood is Vardy, Gibbs-White is Okazaki, Elanga is Mahrez, etc, etc.

    hmmm

There is something very Leicester 2016 about the synergy of this Forest team.

How are City 2-0 up in this game lol. Brentford have been the better team.

    edit: make that 2-1

Man City defense is so bad without Diaz and Stones

Reece James just scored a crucial goal. The football space/time continuum just collapsed.

where would i be if i was my brain Prestigious

Without Rodri in front of them.

Giving up late goals for draws has been happening since he got injured. Then the drop-off out City in a position where they weren’t even having leads in matches.

I have a theory that part of the reason NF are up so high in the table is because they boot the ball out of defense. Other teams that play out the back at all costs should take note.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

Was trawling around some stats to try understanding how they're doing it.

Defensively, they're extremely mean. Most clean sheets and only Arsenal have conceded fewer overall. They also make very few last man tackles, make a lot of tackles overall and they have more clearances noted than anyone else. They don't make many passes and have relatively small proportion of them going backwards. Paints a picture of them sitting a little deeper and just chewing up the play in their half, before going direct towards the other goal. Either that or they're so fast at the back that nobody gets in behind.

They're not even particularly long ball. Maybe compared to some of the other teams at the sharp end, but proportionally very similar to Brentford, Palace, Wolves and Bournemouth.

Nuno did something very similar at Wolves, where his team could just lock out the other team and they only needed one to win. Difference is, Forest have got enough in-form players that they normally get their one!

  16. Sol saying Spurs fans are mean to him because of his race. I’m sure he’s received some racist comments and that is obviously terrible. But how does he not compute why the fan base as a whole doesn’t like him?

Sol: “why don’t they like me?”

Also Sol: does an advert that opens with him tenderising a chicken before walking past all his medals and Arsenal shirts, where he claims white is “weak”, mocks them for never winning anything, and says that he doesn’t regret a thing

No matter how much I love him, he’s a moron lol.

First name to pop up since losing out on RKM. This would be a fantastic signing but no way it happens in January right?

edit: Arsenal and United also in the mix.

  20. Curious what Zaha has left in the tank. I’m assuming he’ll still be very good at the MLS level, although the league is improving pretty quickly. Dean Smith building a much stronger squad than we had before his arrival.

Trossard, Sterling, Havertz front three for a NLD. Kill me.

  23. Maddison dropped again is kinda crazy. He hasn’t been playing poorly imo

But happy to see Bergvall starting. Hope he crushes it.

Trossard's decline this season should be studied. Like he forgot how to kick a ball.

  25. I’m already over how long it takes Arsenal to do their corner kick
