Watching The West on my library app spurred me sub to the PBS Documentary add on on Amazon Prime, now I am binging all the Ken Burns docs

 

I had no idea that Joel had a podcast until last week when he randomly uploaded all episodes to the Good Charlotte YT channel. He mentioned in one episode why he was avoiding Youtube but I guess he caved in.

 

That special was a real tear jerker.

Im excited for the new Stranger Things to come out. We finally get to see grown up Eleven working at a call center for Wells Fargo.

 

Really satisfied with Baby Reindeer, what a great show and insane story on every level. I love how it approached a psychologically complex situation with a level of nuance and sensitivity while still realistic. Just wild that this dude lived this experience and immersed himself in a semi-fictionalized version of it, cast himself, reliving some of the most tragic shit possible. Also, the woman who played Martha is incredible.

 

Oh man I am so excited for Ken Burns' American Revolution this November.

I love that Burns has docs planned up until 2028. In 2025 we're getting American Revolution. In 2026 were are getting a doc on Henry David Thoreau. In 2027 we are getting the post-emancipation story of African Americans during reconstruction until the Great Migration. in 2028 we are getting a doc on LBJ's presidency.
