Not seeing enough coverage or awareness surrounding this deal tbh. People are delusional beyond reason, crediting Biden for this on reddit lol. Who the fuck are these people? I am surrounded by Republicans in my county and my close friends are near communists like myself. I don't get service here so my access to news is websites and not social media haha. Luckily I can google some accounts (ie i knew rupar would be posting clips of the hearing today so I just googled his bluesky to get those), but otherwise when I'm reading news in my downtime it's usually just going to the yahoo homepage and seeing the stories they aggregated there.

Also a bonus is some stuff that may be behind paywalls otherwise gets posted there which is nice. Been able to read some NYTimes and WaPo articles thanks to yahoo haha

 

my bold prediction is if the ceasefire goes through, liberal media will not address it, just let it fade into the background like their coverage and concern for palestinians and genocide in general.

 

Especially if Trump is responsible they’ll cover it just enough to criticize it

 

The media is going to go into a tizzy if it comes out that Trump threatened to withhold weapons. They'd spent like 9 months pushing the narrative that doing so would be abandoning Israel/capitulating to Hamas. Jake Tapper will have some Repub rep on showing clips of that rep saying Biden shouldn't do whatever and then ask why he supports it now lol

At least Lindsey Graham's reaction to it should be pretty funny.

 

I don’t trust Israel at all so I’m only cautiously optimistic and need to see actual change. The worst people thinking it’s bad is a great sign but there’s still so much work to be done.

it does highlight how Biden was historically evil for this. He had leverage that he refused to touch, let the war be a huge moral stain, and let his successor gain all the political good will from ending it. He’s both the most evil and most dumb person on the planet.

The idea that Trump would somehow be worse just falls apart. One, the viciousness and cover up of the tremendous violence was encouraged and enabled by this administration at an unfathomable level. It couldn’t get much worse. And Biden was so evil and inept that literally any other ghoul could ascend to power and the situation would improve.

The worst person in the world can tell that this is bad and want to end immediately, even if just for personal glory. That makes Biden and Harris unequivocally worse on the historical record. So much blood of innocent children on their hands, I hope they drown in it.
