The morning after and I’m just so thankful for this defense. I went into this season optimistic about Vic Fangio, but was expecting a league-average defense, not the best defense in the league.

Jalen Carter and Milton Williams have been such a good DT tandem and Moro Ojomo has shown flashes as a rotational DT as well. Nolan Smith has taken huge strides after showing nothing as a rookie and Josh Sweat has had a bounce-back season. Zack Baun has been unreal for a guy who signed here expecting to be an edge rusher and Nakobe Dean made huge strides too this season. Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean have been slam dunk picks so far and Darius Slay has quietly had a good year too despite his age. I’ve been critical of CJ Gardner-Johnson, but he really started to come alive in the last month of the season and Reed Blankenship continues to impress me as a starter.

The Eagles would not be playing in the divisional round of it weren’t for their defense this season. Still feels so strange given all the talent they have on offense that the defense has arguably been the headline with this team.

For real lol. I’m just running out of ways to explain how frustrating the offense has been this year. Last night’s game is not anything new with them this season, aside from the fact that Hurts somehow had an embarrassingly low passing yardage total in the first half and through much of the third quarter

Still cannot get over the fact that yesterday was the first time in Hurts’ career that he threw a non-play action pass from under center, and they rarely ever do under center play action with him too!
