Its primary audience is in England. I assume that’s all that matters. No large audience has cared about Robbie Williams here since the “Rock DJ” video.

(I’m still kinda interested in the monkey movie)

 

I watched it on Boxing Day and it's way way better than it has any right to be, u actually don't need to be a fan of Robbie Williams and his music to enjoy this film, the story itself locks u right in from the get go

 

Robbie is fucking massive and sells out stadiums all over the world but not the US and Canada but when I watched the film at my local cinema there was only 8 or 9 people at the screening in one of the smaller cinema screening rooms

 

i keep seeing people swear that this is fantastic, but i think most people with no familiarity with Robbie Williams or his music (myself included) just don't care about seeing it. maybe it's not bad, but nothing about the marketing convinces me this is the case.

There’s a couple of really good dance sequences. But a lot of it, to me, feels like him humblebragging.

I was skeptical of the monkey Robbie Williams movie, but goddamn every clip of it I see looks like fantastic filmmaking ngl. Will probably catch it on streaming eventually.

 

I just don't like looking at cgi monkeys. Won't be watching this, Kong or any planet of the apes movies.

I didn't even realize the monkey movie was some sort of Robbie Williams biopic or anything. I thought it was an original concept about a monkey who becomes a singing star....or some crap like that

 

This seems to be the only place on this site talking about Better Man but I genuinely think more people in the US should give it a shot. It’s such a good time, I saw it completely blind and was blown away.
