Long and short of it, Kraft got played. He got spooked by Mayo taking a HC interview and wrote into his contract that he would be the next head coach. And so that was the plan and then Vrabel became free kinda as a surprise to everyone and it’s “do we fire a guy who didn’t get started orrrrrr”

Clearly they believed in him enough to write it into the deal, so they stuck with it to the detriment of everybody lol
