That's not fair I listen to Coldplay sometimes and I have to go to the hospital to fart out my balls more frequently than anyone I know

 

2 enjoyable bands with quite a few misses

 

I remember using saving bonds my grandparents gave me at birth to purchase my first smartphone (which was the first google smartphone the G1).

That phone rocked much more in comparison to my shitty virgin mobile flip phone where I would use up my minutes by "cat fishing" (before it was popular) people in my grade on AIM and then find their number in a phone book and calling them to say I was coming to their house to kill them

 

I expected this to take a weird turn but it's just the same thing all of us did

Also androids suck. I don’t care if they have more capability than the iPhone, the point of a phone is to be easy to use and all that advanced stuff in an Android takes an intimate understanding of settings, while the iPhone has quality performance with simple finger swipes and commands.

For example, while I respect that the Google Pixel has an incredible camera, it will not get nearly as good of results as the iPhone when you’re taking a quick snapshot out of a moving car, or at a concert, or while walking around a new town etc. To get it right you have to set it up and get patient angles like you would an actual camera.

However the essence of phone pictures is they are *usually* spontaneous and impulsive and they happen quickly while you’re active and moving a lot of the time. I want to just touch the screen to focus and take the pic and have the pic look reasonably high quality. Boom. Easy. It’s diminishing returns the more actions you have to do on your phone to get a better and better photo. If I wanna do all that I’ll get a real camera.

This of course doesn’t even get me started on sound and audio quality when I’m trying to record something music oriented, iPhone has always blown android tf out of the water in this category. They have a better mic by far, and a smarter compressor to handle high volumes & noise and reproduce only the most important parts of the sound without getting distorted, and don’t get blurry when you get bumped and the video moves.

 

I don't think this is necessarily true. It's certainly a plus but the point of a phone is the portability of it, so I think a high skill ceiling phone is a fine thing to have as an option even if it's not as easy to use or as plug-and-play

 

Not gonna lie, this is the opposite take I was expecting you to have. Good job.

 

Everything else in the post I entirely agree with though
