That’s where I’m at, and I don’t wanna be the negative nancy of the thread so I’ll shut up now. But yeah, decent season. Nothing mindblowing and its got its flaws but it was cute.

Finished S2 over the weekend and thought it was fantastic. Enjoyed it more than season 1 and really hope they keep building off what they built in S2 while giving Louis more airtime. Definitely teared up a whole lot too - almost every episode haha

Whole a season was good. finale was really fantastic. With the bear having a bit of an off season I could see it cleaning up at the Emmys.

When did the Bear have an off season?

By its standards? Season 3 was good, but definitely down compared to S1/S2 and all the unresolved storylines means I still think we'll get a good payoff in S4 but overall I think I apricated this more on its own.

Everything people complained about The Bear season 3 with “nothing happening in the plot” or whatever, I felt way more in this show.

they’re not really comparable shows though (or are they?)

Are y’all on your phones while you’re watching or something? So much happens in both those shows all the time.

be careful. Apparently you can't give any critics or opinions about the bear on chorus without backlash.

You can give critiques of the bear they just have to be good and not “nothing happened!!!!”

Why do people on this website feel they deserve a plaque and universal praise for critiquing something lol

you’re allowed to have an opinion. I’m allowed to think “what a lazy, boring opinion.” Grow up.

Generally speaking… social media has rewarded a culture of hot takes, outrage, and virtue signaling, so that when folks are more critical, that means more engagement. It’s def weaved its way into this website and pretty much any online interaction we’ll have for the rest of our lives (yay!)

My critiques on the Bear are hyper-specific inconsistencies in depicting Chicago (the neighborhood the restaurant is in has not seen gang activity in this century)

Lol this is how I felt watching “It Ends With Us.”

Couldn’t have less depicted Boston if it tried haha

It does some things well, mostly in that a lot of the characters do feel like Chicagoans

In the first Jack Reacher movie he is in Robinson and then makes one turn and is in Mount Washington and those 2 places are 15-20 minutes away from each other. Couldn’t finish the movie after that.

    Die rad.

Shrinking Season 2 > The Bear Season 3. No contest.

Strong disagree. The Bear blows this show out of the water entirely

to be fair, we are comparing two totally different types of shows.

They’re just very different things. I personally don’t see much use in comparing them lol
