One of my favorite fun facts. A sphere shown on a 2D surface will be distorted so there are like hundreds of different projections depending on the kind of map you want to make.

The ones we all grew up looking at are usually Mercator projections which are accurate at the equator but stretch more and more the farther away you get. I thought Greenland was fucking huge when I was a kid too haha

I guess my state has a big influx of covid, RSV, norovirus and the flu at the moment. Lots of people vomiting uncontrollably. Cool stuff, really looking forward to going back to the office for the first time since the holidays tomorrow haha. This is a huuge hospital, too, a very popular one

flu bad too…in our state it was like almost twice the amount of cases last week as covid, which is wild. I don’t think I’ve seen flu outpace covid during the winter surge since covid hit.
