I prefer Vaxis 1 sound over Vaxis 2 sound but alas, eagerly waiting for March

Is there at least some proggy stuff happening somewhere? I'm cool with catchy primarily as long as I get my one prog fix.

 

"proggy" is not how i'd describe this album after one listen

play the poet is the only one i remember being similar to blind side's sound

 

Alright cool, expectations adjusted, and still excited. Seems like you think it's left a positive first impression so that's good enough for me.

 

re-listening now, continuum I has some of what I'd call a proggy sound

Glad to hear that. I wasn’t on board with blind side but I appreciate the swing they took! Vaxis 2 is my fav since Good Apollo!

 

Not thrilled to hear this is more like Vaxis 2. Oh well, I’ll try and keep an open mind.

 

Enjoyed but not wowed with the singles as I was with Shoulders etc but Jason's reaction has increased my excitement. Great to get another release less than 3 years after the last.

 

I never doubt this band

 

Yeah at this point they've earned their keep on my allegiance

maybe my favorite on first glance, it's definitely one of the more poppy songs.

i almost would call it the closest to this album's "disappearing act'
