This is my favorite live album this year, it came out way back at the beginning of January. Sharing bc I figure somebody else around here might enjoy it and just bc it didn’t get nearly the love it should have.

RIYL Blaze Foley, James McMurtry, Sturgill Simpson and his band

I listened to way more country this year than just about anything else, so I thought I'd share my top 12. JBS easily took the top spot and RCS/Muscadine/Billy were the others on constant rotation. Any favorites that I missed and need to check out?

I think that 49 Winchester album might be my favorite album of the year at the moment. Might drop to number 2, but I have it at 1 right now.

I love Patterns but I gotta admit, I was pretty shocked to see it listed as the #1 album on here.

You and me both, though pleasantly so. It got a number 1 vote and a number 2 vote and was on a third list, and that was enough to take it to the top. We’re a pretty small team of contributors at this point, keep in mind.

First great album I've heard in 2025 is Nolan Taylor's self-titled record. I think it might appeal to people in this thread.
