Kind of surprised The Story So Far has only been mentioned once in this thread so far. What a release! Gonna have to listen to that number one record now, have never even heard of her actually. Excited to check it out.

Aaron West and the Roaring Twenties- In Lieu of Flowers

Super American- Gangster of Love

Far and away the two albums I listened to the most this year. Love them both dearly. Aaron West not being absolutely beloved and celebrated on this website will always baffle me. I can’t get enough of it, I think I prefer it to the Wonder Years.

Definitely will have to check out that Kelsea album. I feel like underrated albums that I connected to this year was slotface - film buff, Vampire Weekend’s latest album and All Hell by Los Campesinos.

I feel like MJ Lenderman has significant Ben Kweller vibes. I decided this based off of listening to half the album since you all have it highly ranked.

 

Yeah this was basically me, I had listened to a few of his previous stuff and was not impressed. American Motor Sports is so damn good and listenable that I can’t get enough of it.

I discovered Sierra Ferrell in 2024 with her new album Trail of Flowers. The whole album is magical and she has become my favorite artist since, so that would be my 2024 album.

 

Only know this from the videos I have seen of her explaining it, but it’s a Korean drinking game where you basically call out a number and stack your hands with the other players. The person who finishes on top has to take a shot.

In terms of the song - outside of the amazingly catchy verses and infectious chorus, I wouldnt say need to know more than its a drinking game.
