The Republicans don’t campaign on marriage being between one man and one woman as much as they did in the 90s and 00s, but none of us would say they’ve moved left as a Party since then. What constituency have the Dems not turned their back on over the past 30 years? In which fight did they prioritize regular people over the expansion of empire and ruling class interests?

Not that it’s a perfect analogy or anything, but I am sort of interested to see how the whole Trudeau thing shakes out now that it seems that they will look for a new candidate and that they have a bit longer to figure it out, versus Harris where we didn’t have a primary and there was significantly less time before the election
