I thought it was to win no matter what but what do I know. I don’t get paid to be a head coach of an NFL team like some of the posters in this thread do.

 

You know what I mean. The lions have one of if not the best offense in the NFL. If you can't make a couple 4th down throws to score a TD or move the chain, you don't deserve the win.

It’s statistically the right call to go for it. I get there’s emotion and momentum involved, but it’s just mathematically dumb to try for 3 in those scenarios.

Yeah I’m just not getting why the Vikings should have kicked those field goals when they were inside the 5 both times. If the idea was “The defense is holding its own against the Lions,” you’ve got to have watched enough football to know that the dam very well could eventually break, which it has

The lions offense scoring TD's and not FG's is why you have to go for it if your Minny. I just think settling for the points against THIS offense is a losing strategy. They're about to put up 31. Field goals were never going to help Minnesota.
