I haven't played a single new game this year but I got Astro Bot for Christmas and it's such a delight.

 

There’s something really pure about getting a game as a gift and playing the absolute shit out of it over the holidays. Now that I’m older and dead inside I don’t get that feeling as much anymore, but I can clearly remember getting RE4 for GameCube and playing it for hours in our living room. Same with Fallout 3 one year.

 

On the flip side, it’s dope having kids and seeing them just go nuts on a new game. I got my kiddo BO6 so she could play Zombies with Dad and her uncle and she’s been playing the shit out of it and being excited about unlocking stuff and what not. It reminded me so much of being that age and being excited so that’s good enough for me I guess lol.

 

my nephews are getting to the age where they’ll play more too which will be sweet. I got them untitled goose game as one of their gifts this year haha

 

That’s a fantastic game for kids, they’re gonna love it

 

The year GTA San Andreas came out, I got it for Christmas and we had a blizzard the same week so I did nothing but play it for like 8 days. Good times.

 

I’m buying myself a PS5 and Astro Bot tomorrow because goddammit I miss the Christmas magic

Wife got me a Rock Band guitar and drum set so I am a clone hero guy now. Anyone else get into custom guitar hero/ rock band stuff?

 

TLOU Part 2 baby. Can’t freaking wait to play it tomorrow. Got the gf Luigi’s Mansion 3 so I’m excited to watch/play that too.
