A local venue posted a band called Bit Brigade coming to my area.

they do covers of nes/snes soundtracks and it says they have someone speed run the game also but I didn’t see any video of that.

I might actually have to peep that.

 

Final Fantasy VII Red, but it’s a Dirge of Cerberus remake

 

I'm thinking about quitting FFXIV which is a real bummer but I just have no motivation to play most of the time and it feels silly to keep paying a sub just to upkeep a house in the game and HYPOTHETICALLY want to play it. There's a lot that feels like it'd be fun to do but I feel like it requires more dedication than I'd want to offer it to be able to do those things, even for a MMORPG that is light on content

It sucks to quit a game so much time has been put into though, and yeah I can go back whenever I suppose but then there's all the catch-up required (but maybe that's a good thing? I dunno)

 

I know there's a lot of talk around FFXIV circles of "has the game gotten bad" or "is the game too repetitive in content". I think the answer to the first is "no" and the second is "maybe but they're trying to diversify". But I mean I've played for 11 years now and I've been a lot happier just ignoring it and playing other things, I hate that I missed out on so many great games because of no-life-ing FFXIV for so long

 

Bought my kiddo a copy of BO6 for Christmas so I had to get her a PS Plus subscription for her account, I had no idea I had to jump through that many hoops just to make that work.

 

PS5 final holiday sale actually has some great deals and I’m looking at it

 

Finished my second run in Astral Ascent and it does a GREAT thing as a rogue, it opens up with more unlocks that are available that make the game incredibly more fun. I am playing this WAY more than I play 99% of other rogues. Truly recommend it to anyone who likes a Dead Cells type rogue.

 

Devilition in UFO 50 is great.

 

Super annoyed because WB pulled the Steven Universe games (among others) without any prior warning. They'd been on my wishlist forever and I would've bought them if I'd known it was my last chance. Fucking Zaslav.

 

Hey all, I've had a recurring xbox live account charge on December 26th for years now. Well I realized when I got a new debit card that I had to update my payment info. I've been trying a few different credit cards and my new debit card but they all keep saying "check the details in all fields are correct or try a different card" even though all the info is clearly correct. then if I do delete it and type it all in again, it'll just say "your bank couldn't authorize this payment". I've been doing this on my computer. Do I gotta get on my Xbox and try and do it on there or something? lol

 

Unrelated to that question---my son is finalyl playing his switch, and he wants to get all the tracks for MarioKart 8 that are part of the expansion pack. Do I need to set up an online account on his switch to buy that?

 

I haven’t bought them myself, but I would assume so. Everything I’ve bought was through my Nintendo account. I imagine that’s what you need.
