Me lmao, I forgot Tottenham basically had no defence and thought Salah might struggle a bit. Put it on Iwobi instead because home game against Southampton with second amount of goals conceded… 0-0. Typical for me haha

Majority of our goals are coming from players making mistakes. You can argue that our setup allows those mistakes to have bigger consequences, but it still comes from terrible individual errors.

When we were mostly healthy, these mistakes didn’t happen nearly as much. We weren’t giving up as many goals. We weren’t losing as much. The mistakes have piled up just like the injuries. And he doesn’t want to change because he wants to drill these ideas and tactics into their heads so it feels natural to them. We were starting to see some of that before everyone went down. Now it’s somewhat impossible.

I understand where other people are coming from with the criticism. It’s a different approach. It’ll get met with pushback. But the level of criticism is just disrespectful. Ive never heard a manager get talked about like this. And they do it to his face. It’s ridiculous.

Sure, it might fail. But the man has had plenty of success during his career. He made it to the most popular league in the world. Show some respect to the man.

Over/under on how long Saka will be out?

  4. Huijsen from Bournemouth is starting to get some hype. Every time I’ve watched them he’s been impressive. He’d be perfect for us tbh.

There’s talk of it being six weeks. Either way, we basically have no right-sided wingers in the squad so god knows what we do. Martinelli can play there and looked good so I’d guess we do that.

  8. I’m excited about all the young talent we’ve been signing. It could pay off in the long term. But it probably wasn’t the smartest thing to lean so heavily in that direction knowing the amount of fixtures we were going to be facing. Especially considering some of these players also had injuries last season. I understand we’re trying to rebuild the squad but we still need some balance in how we’re doing it.

tbf to the club, losing THIS many players is hard to be prepared for. But it’s still shocking to only have 3 senior CBs (I suppose 3.5 including Davies but his background is fullback). One injury and you’re down to starting the same guys over and over during a congested schedule. I feel bad for Porro and Udogie as well. They’ve had to log so many minutes. They have to be exhausted out there. Very little coverage for either guy.

The backline just needs some work and balance to it. I’m actually pretty ok with the midfield. I really want Bissouma out as soon as possible. That’s really the only replacement I think we need right now. And we’ll eventually get Gray at his best position, DM, and I think he’s going to be incredible.

The attack isn’t terrible if everyone was healthy. But Werner needs to go. Richarlison needs to go. And we need to bring in replacements for both. Guys that can contribute now. I like the three young guys we have in this area (Moore, Odobert, Yang), but one is injured and the other two are 17 years old. We need more experience up top.

TLDR - signing teenagers that have potential to be stars is fun….but please mix in some quality experienced players so we can actually function as a squad during times like this.

Yeah, the bigger issue is the volume of games I think. We have some tough games coming up (City, Villa, & Spurs at home, Brentford and Brighton away, plus the two LC semi’s against United).

I’m more concerned about how we manage to rotate and keep the quality up for that run when we have four players for three spots, in Jesus, Havertz, Trossard, and Martinelli.

Oh, and thanks to Edu failing to get us a backup goalkeeper or right winger, we’re at our loan limit with Neto and Sterling lol.

It’s so funny how much of a money making machine Manchester United is for any barnacle that wants to attach itself to the bottom of the boat. Full year’s salary paid for and you’ll never even have to right or talk about actual football.

Something semi related, it’s very funny that there is basically no conversation happening around Jack Grealish, a player that cost 100M, has one assist and zero goals in the last calendar year. Players for the four in a row champions, recent treble winners, and silence. Just total in the streets/cultural irrelevance going on in the sky blue side of Manchester.

Echoing the seasons greetings for those who celebrate. Lost a brother around this time of year a couple of years ago, so I truly understand at a personal level how it's not always a pleasant experience for all. He'd want me to celebrate as per usual so that's what I'll do with my remaining loved ones.

Is it boxing day if no one posts the 1963 results when everyone was so hungover and full of food that they forgot how to defend?
