Accepted an absurdly early interview for a different job this morning and pretty sure I bombed it by being honest lol.

asked me out of 10 how interested I was in the company which is weird. Lied and gave it an 8 because pay was a little lower than I really wanted and then spent the rest of the interview trying to convince him I wouldn’t have applied if I didn’t want the job and the pay was ok since it was remote.

It bothers me not to do well on an interview even if I don’t care as much for the role. There’s no guarantee the other two will come through.

Yeah I’ve never been asked that before. He was really keen to learn how much the company made me excited the whole interview. Bizarre.

True. But it was 6:30 (recruiter is in Israel — lot of cybersecurity companies have that) for me and my brain isn’t working really anyway since it’s a holiday week.

I barely tried on the tell me about yourself question lol.

 

Planned to go back to bed since I’ve been up since 4am just due to insomnia and I’m laying in bed feeling annoyed with myself over the interview

I feel like 8 is a good answer. Saying 10/10 seems insane but I guess if someone is weird enough to ask that questions that’s the answer they want.
