I would say it’s less the $$$ amount and more the item. A shit ton of boxes of coffee and donuts that just need to be rounded up? Nah. A bunch of sandwiches that need to be cooked? Yes.

The rule should be you can’t have more orders than the number of people in your car, except if you’re driving solo then you get a +1. 2 people in the car? You get 2 meals and 2 drinks. You don’t get to order for a third or fourth at home. You have to go inside. This should be enforced by law.
