Here I am. Can’t believe 10 hours went by so fast and I’m still at the beginning if I understood the cutscene correctly? Okay at least one of them was spent trying to climb a mountain to get access to a shrine but I kept running out of stamina and falling… until I realized I didn’t necessarily have to sprint and could use stamina more wisely by going slower. Noob behavior!

But I’m having a blast so far. I forgot how fun and immersive gaming can be!

Playing The Forest for the first time because it was $1.99 on Steam. I'm on day 9 and super mutants came and knocked down my tree house and killed me. Was not ready for the monsters from Berserk's Eclipse to spawn.

 

Finished Digimon Survive last night. I read you can play again and keep everyone alive. That’s not something I want to do as the second person who dies was pure trash haha he is staying dead in my game.

 

Picked up Black Ops 3 because I wanted to play Zombies on my Steam Deck and it rips

 

I’m digging FF16 so far buttttt just fast traveling via a map to every new location is very lame.

 

Fair criticism but Iirc there are a few instances where story beats require you to go all the way back to previous locations to progress so it makes sense. Although traversal across some areas definitely does not take nearly as long as it looks.

I'm not so sure it's what some people safely assume. For one, JP loves playing around with titling to give them meaning. The word "re" is the root word of "again". And as evidenced by the first two games, the word "re" can safely be separated in the title while the second part of the word is able to exist by itself. "Birth" and "make". Both words have their own meaning, able to stand on their own meaning as words themselves. Now pair both with the words "again" and you can see how they fit in each respective game. "Vive" is an uncommon interjection no one uses anymore and wouldn't make sense (last used in 1600s) and "vival" just isn't a word. Nomura always works closely with localizers to make the word salads work somewhat thematically and even they would advise against using vive as no one would understand that lol.

With that being said whatever word used would have to make sense as two words if you separated them by "re" and whatever word they choose. And make sense with the games theme. I haven't looked in a dictionary yet to look at every word starting with re- yet but the first word that thematically makes sense to me is return. I'm sure there's others. Reunion would have been PERFECT and I have no idea why they used it on CC.

I was so deadset on it being that too! Haha it makes sense, I was like YEAH THAT'S IT and then someone reminded me of how it was JUST used in the remake of crisis core and I was like ohhhhhhh I forgot :[

So completely wasted.

 

I just think it would be a two syllable re word to match the others, anything else doesn't flow as nicely.
