City need a rebuild. New full backs, new central midfielders, and in Doku & Savio their wingers are flash but totally toothless most of the time. Grealish looks ready to go back to Villa and remember football can be fun, KDB looks ready to collect his bus pass, and Kyle Walker looks ready for the grave.

Wonder how much they’ll spend in January because at this rate, they won’t make Europe.

Foden finally did something this season in the Premier League but it means sweet nothing,

Gary Neville will still think City can finish ahead of Liverpool. Not a relative, thankfully.

I may be alone on an island here but that City team isn’t this bad. They really shouldn’t be having these results with it. Much like Southampton’s woes or us last season Guardiola needs to be a bit more pragmatic than he is right now

Guardiola teams found themselves on positional play and fluidity. They've lost both, which means they can't sustain attacks, which means they can't suffocate teams, which means they have to defend backwards as well as forwards, which means their high line and slight midfielders are all exposed, which means it's easier to counter attack them, which means they lose their fluidity etc.

Add in players like Walker and Gundogan aging into non-contributors, and it's now much more difficult for Guardiola to arrest their collapse. It's all managed risk, and he's missing the key players to do that, which his style isn't conducive for masking.

I do wish enciso got a start though. Talks of him going on loan or staying are dependent on the next couple of weeks and he looked great in his sub appearance. Also it’s okay to not play mitoma once, let him rest occasionally.

  9. Did a little shake up with my fantasy team and dropped Isak. He scores in the first minute.

It probably helps that I'm paying more attention to matches now but this one's started quite well for me. Made four transfers from three free, selling Haaland and buying Isak. Did have Rogers on my bench till I gave it a second thought last night and switched him back in.

Newcastle comfortably winning an away game. Might even keep a clean sheet.

Not like Ipswich to cave in like this at home. Bad omen.

Goodness please get Ferguson a loan to get some confidence and game time. He has to score one of those.

Brighton’s attack has lost its luster without Wellbeck. And so has my FPL team.

Frustrated with the loss but also west ham had me crying pre match with a tribute to Antonio, Lopategui’s dad passed this week and they honored a U-15 keeper from their academy who passed from cancer by having his whole family carry his kit to the center circle. So a draw was the best we could hope for is what I’m telling myself.
