one of the worst, most boring live acts I’ve ever seen, save your money.

You’d be surprised at how many people turn a blind eye to their message. They just keep getting booked at all these big punk fests

I agree. I saw him at a fest and it was very loud and not very good. (It was a long time ago - 2014).

Every live Eminem clip I've ever seen online sounds and looks soooo bad.

Agreed. I went to that Eminem/Rihanna joint tour back in 2014 and it was the most let down I've ever been at a show.

To be fair we were sitting in the literal last row at the other end of a football stadium. I'd give his show another show if the lineup is strong and I get decent seats, but expectations will be kept low.

seen him live a ton…warped tour, anger management tour (2x), and then two headlining sets at Bonnaroo.

all of them were legit bad. almost zero energy on stage, no live band, extremely basic production, and bizarre setlist choices.

He has had holds on stadiums the last two years. How much money do you think that is? That is just lost in the abyss.

The only time I saw Eminem live was on the Anger Management tour in 2003 at Milton Keynes Bowl in the UK with Xzibit and Cypress Hill supporting and Eminem's set had the full circus themed stage show that was shown on the Sing For The Moment music video and it was awesome!! Eminem himself was really good, 100% rapping live and was proper up for it that night.. now if he was touring the UK next year would I see him live now.. nah, judging by the live footage, it seems way too safe for my liking

so what's the deal with Turnover being so big now? have they experienced a TikTok boost like some other acts?

I think Peripheral Vision is way bigger than anything else Turnover ever did, and by a long shot. That record was always huge on Tumblr/social media and the band never really held those heights after PV.

    TLDR nostalgia

Think the biggest draw is the album they're playing in full. I haven't listened to much of them post Good Nature but am contemplating getting tickets for NYC

Yeah plenty of friends of mine who are not tapped into current music or current Turnover are dying to see them on the PV tour and I doubt any of them have heard a Turnover record since GN. Nostalgia is powerful and I'm a sucker.

RE TUrnover - it's 100% nostalgia. Their top 10 songs are all off of Peripheral vision and nothing beyond that has really caught on.

I've also seen them twice and they were the most boring live band I have seen. No energy, no production, and no crowd energy. Just an absolute snooze fest of a show.

Yeah nobody is putting Magnolia or Good Nature on 2010s mood boards that go viral with Pure Heroine, Channel Orange, and Peripheral Vision on them.

Nostalgia is only part of it, since that record sort of continues to persist for younger folks. It might as well be the only Turnover album.

Trash Boat European tour got canceled due to low ticket sales too, damn that’s tough. That’s essentially their entire headlining tour was canceled due to low ticket sales.
