Worst set I witnessed all year was Veil of Maya in Charlotte. Lukas was brutally bad on every song except the old material (ironically), and all the openers just seemed to perform better. Particularly Angelmaker.

I luckily got that tour in an off date without veil for $20. Heard from a lot of people that veil was bad on both that and slaughter.

I know I'm late to the Ice Nine Kills talk but I just wanted to say that Safe is Just a Shadow was my fucking shit back in the day. I loved that album. Haven't really listened to them in like 10 years though.

@Tifoil I saw the poster first before the rest of the comment, I wish that was a real tour.

Now I feel bad, sorry! Haha

But 2026 is the anniversary of both albums, and a man can dream.

    Things have changed.

Both pull from different parts of Springsteen and I think they'd have a blast touring together.

Oh yeah, oh yeah, everything is terrible.

there isn't much that'll be coming through for the rest of the year, we gotta improvise!

I got to see half that lineup on one bill in 2019. KL/TAS/Harm's Way/Sanction/Higher Power. In a small ass VFW hall in Vegas, don't know if I'll ever get to see Knocked Loose in a venue that small ever again.

(This one was way longer than I expected my bad)

My count has me at 74 shows this year. Some highlights, in no specific order:
    - Charli/Troye in Baltimore (9/26)
    - Origami Angel/Pinkshift/Combat sold out at 9:30 Club (12/15)
    - Waxahatchee outdoors in Virginia (9/6)
    - Spanish Love Songs/Oso Oso at 9:30 Club during my bday weekend (4/28)
    - Carly Rae Jepsen at Nats Park on the field after a game with 35 other friends (7/19)
    - Mannequin Pussy/Soul Glo (5/17)
    - Militarie Gun/Pool Kids/Spiritual Cramp/Spaced (2/13)
    - Fall Out Boy/Jimmy Eat World/The Maine in Seattle (3/1)
    - Something Corporate at 9:30 Club (8/22)
    - The National/War on Drugs at Merriweather Post Pavilion (9/16)

Some good 2-3 day back-to-backs and bands I saw multiple times:
    - The Hold Steady
    - Wednesday
    - Ratboys
    - Vampire Weekend
    - Queen of Jeans
    - Gaslight Anthem/Joyce Manor
    - Soul Glo
    - Fiddlehead
    - GEL
    - Drain

Most disappointing was somehow Menzingers in Baltimore. Didn’t compare as well to the other times I had seen them. They’re one of my favorites, so maybe that’s part of my bar, but didn’t quite hit like I would’ve expected.

I don’t want to come off as bragging, but I am very grateful for the year I had. Been a weird few weeks, but good to remember that live music was a huge part of it.

I have a month off, but will be back in it late January. Soccer Mommy, Jivebomb, Great Grandpa, Jamie xx, and Something in the Way + Fiddlehead pre-show in a single week. It’ll be more normal after that, but just kinda sent it, whoops.

I posted some of my favorite clips on Instagram, but some of my favorites made it hard to get video for.

New Found Glory/Less Than Jake/MxPx triple co-headliner. Each band plays 1 hour and the order is random each date. Sponsored by Aleve.

Gimme uh ERRA/Counterparts co-headliner with Invent Animate and Boundaries as support (or Thornhill/No Cure).

HEALTH and Chat Pile could be really fun.

Also Linkin Park should bring back Projekt Revolution.

Really want KL to take TAS out on tour again and hit big ass venues since TAS was one of the main OG bands that took KL on tour early in their career. Same with bands like Counterparts and Kublai Khan.

Legit some of the nicest people I ever met.

For me it was a top 3 set at FF, they were going wild.

My worst set of the year was Taking Back Sunday at WWWY. Just low energy/effort and completely ruined the flow of the day. Didn't even play MakeDamnSure.

As far as dream tours go, I'll go blink-182/Paramore co-headliner, that'd go crazy. Throw in some fun openers like Stand Atlantic & The Maine and I'd almost certainly hit up multiple dates.
