I like doing it for myself (ranking that is not euphemism)

But I hate sharing a list somewhere and instead of having it inspire any kind of curiosity it's just "where is New Found Glory you dipshit"

If people actually talked about music it'd be cool/fun to do

Yeah, I get very reserved when sharing my list because everyone will just say I'm not inclusive enough with what I listen to lol but you know what? I'm 38 and listen to what I listen to. Sorry, my tastes aren't changing much.

And I do make a long ass list, but it's not everything ranked and I usually only share the top 20-30

 

I find an album I like and listen to it a ton for several weeks. I could never listen to like 100 new records a year. That’s wild to me.

I will probably have listened to over 100 2024 releases before the year is over and that number is way higher if you count older albums I'd never heard

I can't do this, either, I go through and re-listen to pretty much everything and don't include it if I only listened to it once because how can you actually accurately rank that?

I say I’m making a list but it’s only for me and one of my friends to see since we share our lists at the end of the year

he listens to way more music than me but we also do separate genres so it’s our catch up

 

I do kpop song lists and used to share them with friends to try to introduce them to something different and they'd be like "cool list" and never listen to anything so I just got bummed out and quit sharing em

I make a playlist of songs every year, too but I only share it with my brother. And last year a friend from high school followed me on apple music because he asked what I was listening to and I sent him a couple from over the last few years, so I guess he gets them if he actually looks at that
