If they really wanna make this thing matter to fans, bus out a shit ton of season ticket holders for each team competing in Vegas for a free trip. Engaged fans at the game, and engaged fans in the knockout round who wanna go to Vegas lol

 

Hmm interesting. On the TNT broadcast it sounded like they were letting the announcers make most of the noise because the crowd was so dead. I can’t imagine the league would be happy about that if it was the case.

 

oh no, that crowd was pretty loud and sold out completely. First sell out in a looooong time for a rockets home game too. My friends went too and said it was loud in there

 

This works for college games, I remember Colorado doing it when I was at school. NBA fans aren’t quite as rowdy, but it would still make a difference.

It feels like they should just do this, but it seems like the trip to Vegas is part of the leagues incentive for the players.

 

It probably is, but I wonder if they’ll change that if/when Vegas gets an expansion team (assuming the tournament is still going on)

 

Ahh I misread your original post and thought you were talking about the game yesterday, not the one in Houston. The crowd on TNT sounded decent for that one. But it still could be a case of they had a wonky mix in both cases.

 

Hell of a game tonight. Looks like Luka is back back after some rest. Klay with a huge game as well.

 

I have a better idea: Get rid of the In-Season Tournament all together.

 

I fully expected Orlando's home success to diminish once Franz went down, so last night's loss wasn't a shocker. While I prefer wins, hopefully some more losses like that will show the front office just how flawed the roster is offensively. KCP was a nice pickup in a vacuum, but I think getting someone like Tyus Jones or Monte Morris would've served them better. Jalen Suggs is not an NBA lead guard, nor is he a number 1 option. Yes, he’s an incredible defender, but tasking him with too much on the other end is not a good idea. I like Anthony Black, but I’m not sure he's a full-time PG, either. He’s definitely a little more hesitant of late to shoot, and he picks up his dribble too quickly. Of course some of this will be less of an issue once Paolo and Franz return, but I don’t think either of them would object to adding a starting caliber PG to make their lives easier.

I like the tourny but really hate the goofy courts. Those are what id wanna see change but if it didnt it is what it is.
