Didn't go to many shows this year, but seeing The Bled play Pass the Flask was probably the highlight of my year.

Since My Beloved's final show was pretty sick too.

My gig highlights of 2024 :

    1. Seeing Tool live for the 4th time since the last time I saw them live was in 2006 at Wembley Arena.. anyways they were fucking incredible and truly at the top of their game.

    2. Seeing 311 for the first time at their first UK show in over 20 years and they were brilliant and met Nick from 311 before the gig and it was such an nice guy to chat too!

    3. Checking out Korn live for the 3rd time but at the biggest headline show of their career in the UK in London at a sold out Gunnersbury Park and they were amazing!!

    4. Seeing Bryan Adams live for the time after being a long time fan but never saw him live until this past summer and he was fucking amazing and for a guy that's 65 years old.. he sounds exactly the same live as he does on record!! 2 hours, 26 song set of non stop hits, new stuff and deep cuts without breaking a sweat!!

    5. Finally seeing Julien Baker live for the first time on the 4th night of her 5 night sold out residency in London and she was absolutely amazing, worth the long wait!!

it really seems like they are a bit stuck creatively? It was the horror themes they helped them get huge, but can you can’t really go straight to silver scream 3. Will be interesting to see what they do next.

Don't get me wrong INK is a major guilty pleasure of mine, but if they could drop an album in line with Predator Becomes The Prey, that'd be sick. I don't think they'll drop the horror movie gimmick anytime soon though.

Seems like it. They just drop a new single like every year and call it a day.

INK has made a great career being Metallica’s opening act for what seems like the last 4-5yrs.

I can remember when they were perennially the most missable band on the monster energy stage

Considering they have a horror convention and released a single based on Terrifier with Shavo of SOAD, I think they will stick to the horror gimmick.

I think it's a headliner. The teaser flyer on the INK said support is TBA

I really enjoyed the silver scream 2 but they have been milking the fuck out of that album, like how many versions of the same album have they've released? At the same time I might try to catch it live, but i'm looking forward to what they do next

Top 5 this year in chronological order:

    - Knocked Loose 6/8 in Atlanta: Insanity. The Eastern is a beautiful venue, too.

    - Two Door Cinema Club 7/16 in Miami: Just good vibes all around.

    - Limp Bizkit 8/6 in West Palm Beach: It's Limp Bizkit.

    - Bilmuri 9/10 in Orlando: Venue sucked (Plaza Live kicked out anyone for the slightest movement) but one hell of a performance. Saxophone was on point. Lots of hog cranking.

    - Enter Shikari 10/16 in DC: Great setlist spanning their extensive discography. Fun crowd singing along to every word. Historic venue (Howard Theater).

    Least favorite show:

    - Bayside + Finch + Armor for Sleep 4/9 in Atlanta: All the bands were on point, but the worst crowd I have ever experienced. Low energy and full of jerks. Not the first time I've dealt with this at a Bayside show either. They have some of the worst fans (in my experience, obviously) but the band is soooo good.

I didn’t think to include my least favorite shows, but would definitely put that Bayside/Finch show up there. Very obnoxious crowd.

I have read in here a lot about bad experiences at their shows because of the crowd

Why does Bayside have these type of fans?

I think it’s because a segment of their fanbase isn’t into pop punk/emo music. A bunch of people only like them because they heard Devotion and Desire somewhere, but they don’t normally don’t listen to that type of music. I love Bayside, but their fans suck and it’s part of the reason their live show has suffered.

They are fantastic live but 90 percent of their set is fan favorites due to this. They ignore a ton of their back catalogue because fans normally don’t respond to the deep cuts and want to hear Blame it on Bad Luck/Montauk for the 1000th time. I’m hoping on the Errors tour next year they finally play a lot of deep cuts since it’s 2 nights.

least fav show is kinda hard…Post Malone at Bonnaroo? Only set I left early this year, dude was hammered, can’t sing live, and the set was really weirdly paced.

however, I woke up the next morning and all my neighbors at camp (white girls under 25) said it was the best set they’ve ever seen, so idk maybe it was me?
