I feel you on that. The exclusions of the X-Men has allowed Marvel to explore a lot of its unpopular/lower tier characters and it's yielded some awesome/unexpected results. But damn, if the X-Men was introduced into the MCU, I would probably die.

I just find all the Singer X-Men movies to be boring as hell. We've never seen those awesome comic book moments that we've always wanted, like seeing Wolverine slash up a sentinel or their actual uniforms. Those movies seem so watered down to me. Now, more than ever, we need a superhero movie to present the need for diversity, tolerance, and equality.

I mean, I have a lot of problems with what Fox has done with the X-Men thus far. They've made a lot of puzzling decisions since day one, and most of their films are subpar at best. And, even their decent films anymore tend to paint them into a weird corner that inhibits what they can do next without rebooting the franchise. Their main line definitely needs a MAJOR overhaul.

Still, I gotta give credit where credit is due. X2 is a top 5 comic book film of mine. Logan looks excellent so far. DOFP was as good as your average mid-tier MCU film. Legion looks really cool. New Mutants is a great property to develop and could be really cool. Even Gambit with Channing Tatum could be a lot of fun if they keep letting it get pushed back instead of rushing out an undercooked product.

It feels dirty to defend Fox's mostly horrific handling of their Marvel properties, lol, but they're not COMPLETELY hopeless... yet...

Fox should make a deal/trade like Sony did with Spidey. Only in this case, Marvel gets the Fantastic Four back completely, and Fox's rebooted X-men franchise gets to be under the MCU umbrella with all the crossovers and Kevin Feige-ing that entails, but get to keep the $$$ from X-films, which as part of the MCU, people will turn out in droves for.

Loved Aquaman this week, this arc is going to be great. Green Lanterns was awesome though it did feel a bit short on story. Green Arrow was fun. Jessica Jones was really good, I liked the first issue but this was a lot better, really into this story. I'm also pretty lucky because I've read barely any Marvel but I happen to know who that Black Spot dude is because I read a Daredevil issue randomly that had him. Probably would have been pretty damn confused otherwise. Suicide Squad was great, best issue yet, both arcs so far have been so good. Can't wait to see what Harley does next issue, or I suppose I should say Harleen. Justice League was back on track to being really good again. Best issue yet of Trinity, so good, and now that I see what they're doing (at least what they've been doing/intend to do with the next issue) I'm really into it.

Still have Batman and Kill or Be Killed to read.

Also started with the new 52 Green Lantern stories. I love all four of them to be honest. The issue where John had to take the body home of the fellow lantern he killed hit me really hard. And the Red Lanterns are awesome.

According to that DC All Access page it sounds like JL Vs SS is going to have "ties to the hidden truths of Rebirth" so that's exciting.

The entire DC Rebirth line delivered again this week. Feel like I need to stop singing their individual praises week after week haha. DC just has a damn solid lineup right now. After Superman #11 I cannot wait for Super Sons. It also makes me wonder, if Blue Beetle doesn't end up being the mystery Teen Titans member like in the animated movie, maybe they'll get Superboy?

Jessica Jones, Old Man Logan, and Infamous Iron Man were all great. Infamous feels like it's off too a pretty slow start, but god the the concept of the book is just too good for me not to enjoy it. Although, it was suuuuper frustrating how Bendis spent like FIVE full pages of dialogue going back and forth about that girl having a gun.

Forgot Spider-man is still stuck in Civil War mode. I'm so so so over that event, and this book is too good to waste developing absolutely nothing, especially since we already know where Miles is. I did enjoy Bombshell and Goldballs interactions though, that was fun. He might be the best random addition to Mile's supporting cast. And I like how Bombshell acknowledges that she doesn't remember Goldballs existing. Gives me hope they are going to explain why she made it over from the Ultimate universe.

Thanos had a fucking great start. Just a phenomenal looking book. I have faith Lemire will make this a must-read.

Not sure what books I want to grab when Rebirth hits trade. Detective is the only one I'll grab for sure.

I'm definitely grabbing The Flash, Batman, and All-Star Batman! What else is really good? Curious about the phantom ring stuff in Green Lantern, but other than that. Probably the DC Young Animal stuff next year.

The only ones I'd definitively recommend to literally anyone are Detective Comics and Superman.

Green Lanterns is good, but the first arc drags towards the end, and the art is so very rough at times. All-Star Batman is worth a read for any Batman fan but isn't one of the best Batman stories I've read or anything. I'm mad on principle at Trinity only having some Manapul art, but it's still worth checking out. Batgirl is alright, but if you don't adore the character like I do, I don't think it'll click with you. Nothing else really has interested me too much, though I could see myself checking out Nightwing, New Super-Man, and Superwoman someday.

I would recommend Green Arrow in addition to those, really pleased with that run so far. And as someone else stated, Detective Comics and Superman for sure.

After reading Omega Men, it's made me want to dive into some Green Lantern. I read Green Lantern: No Fear by Johns and it was really good. Damn, Superman and Detective Comics is that good? I'm going to have to jump on it.

Thanks dude! Never been a big Green Arrow fan and the show made me kind of want to skip on the character altogether. I'll take your word for it though.

Superman is tonally exactly what a Superman book should be. The family angle has been a perfect way to keep the series grounded in the idea of hope, which is essential to just about every great Superman story.

Detective Comics' first arc (I dropped it so I could add more Marvel to my pull, lol) hit on just the kind of story I wanted from Batman. I'm not the Batman fan that a lot of people are, but the focus on Batwoman and others in the Bat-family really helped to pull me in.

I recently got the Geoff Johns Green Lantern Omnibus vol. 1 for 50% off, but I don't know when I'm finally gonna sit down and work on that, lol. Got some other things on my list right now. I'm mostly just reading Green Lanterns 'cause I like Jessica Cruz a lot. And, yeah, what I read of Omega Men was awesome, but I got sidetracked with other stuff before getting too far into it.

Speaking of sidetracked, I took a break from my other reading to plow through Bendis' Uncanny X-Men vol. 1-6 these past couple days. I don't always love Bendis' team books, but I really, REALLY liked how he handled Cyclops and company. I'm totally on team "Cyclops was right," lol. Also, I really missed Emma Frost.
