Really solid mix of bands. Middle school me is especially excited to finally be able to see Cradle.

 

- Finch/Armor For Sleep (finally got to see a full Finch set)
- New Kids on the Block (these guys actually were great)
- Noah Kahan (my wife's favorite artist currently, and she was in heaven, so it was cute and fun)
- Limp Bizkit (finally got to check this band off my bucket list)
- Alien Ant Farm (my band got asked to open for them and they were surprisingly good, even though I only knew 2 songs)

 

I currently have tickets for: Slowdive, Deftones, Oasis (London), Oasis (Jersey), System of a Down/Korn and Jerry Seinfeld.

Didn’t buy tickets yet but will most likely also be going to: Poppy, Avril Lavigne, Papa Roach/Underoath and Poison the Well/Glassjaw

 

I almost never buy tickets early but I do have tickets already purchased for Ghost in August and Poison the Well in April

 

I’ve got both weekends of Coachella, Oasis and 2 nights of Dua Lipa so far next year

 

I’ve only got 6 right now:

- Sum 41 x2
- Refused/Quicksand
- All Your Friends Fest x2
- MCR (I still need tickets lol)

I gotta be fairly selective nowadays because getting in and out of the city is a bit of a hassle for me, and most of my friends are lame lol

Hoping to line up plenty more in the coming months

 

Not much for next year as of now. I've got tickets to Silverstein in February and Spiritbox in April, but I'm planning on seeing Anthony Raneri, The Dirty Nil, Free Throw, a day of Sonic Temple, and Tied Down Fest. Might do Gouge Away, Wheatus, and Poison the Well too.

 

My Top 5 this year:

And so far I only have a few set for next year: Matt Nathanson, Alton Brown, and Weird Al.

 

This year I attended easily the least amount of shows I've attended in probably 20+ years (outside of COVID).

My favorite was probably Slaughter Beach, Dog - simply because it was my first time seeing them after years and years of wanting to.

I saw Twenty One Pilots for probably the 15th time this year but it was extra special because it was my son's first show ever.

I saw one of the three Bright Eyes secret shows as well this year, which was cool - even though I've seen BE many times but it was also at my favorite small(er) venue in the Cleveland area.

Got to see Spanish Love Songs for only the second time ever as well.

So definitely some special shows mixed in this year.

2024 highlights were seeing some faves for the first time: Weezer; first Saves the Day club show; Crime in Stereo.

and seeing some all time faves still slaying it: Green Day, Senses Fail, The Early November.

only ticket I have on the books for 2025 is Hidden in Plain View in LA edit: and Ceremony 20 yr celebration in SF

 

easy decision for me (PTW), but this tour is hitting Dallas the same day as Trivium/BFMV/ABR and Poison the Well/Glassjaw

 

Rumor is Foo Fighters had tour dates/festival appearances set for next year, but now they are all cancelled

They were headlining a couple Euro fests, Hellfest being one of them...Muse was called in as a last second replacement before lineup drop. Rumors are we won't see Foos for a VERY long time.

My favorite shows this year were between Sick new world and Blink 182, the runner ups were Thrice, System of a down with Deftones, Dustin Kensrue, and Zach Bryan. For me this years When we were young fest was my least favorite of the previous years which are obviously hard to top.
