The intro to that Diet Pepsi song (a banger btw) sounds so much like German streep/gangsta rap from the 00s I’m losing my mind

 

There's more than a few tracks on this album that could fit

 

Yeah I mean there are some bangers on there, they definitely fell off way more after this, this one was still better than fans of the first two gave it credit for

 

Holy crap does that Ren guy annoys the shit out of me. Sorry to whoever played it, but I hate it.

 

I don’t know how to vote this round. Some of these songs are just great songs and I don’t feel like they fit the prompt.

 

Personally, I always vote for how well something fits the prompt in my opinion, not how good the song is. Like, if the round is "Best of 2024" and someone submits The Beatles, I won't give points

 

It depends on the theme for me but in this case if a song doesn’t really fit then I don’t give points even if it is great

 

Yeah, there were a couple this time that I really liked but couldn’t give points to.

 

If good songs alone could garner points I'd just submit The Postal Service every week apparently

 

I dislike a lot of the songs on this playlist hahaha

 

I trust the people submitting the song. If they say it fits the bill, it’s good enough for me. Unless it’s super obvious of course.

Then again, there’s normally only 5 or 6 songs that I like per playlist, so I need all the good songs I can get.

 

Yeah, I’m not familiar with a lot of these artists and how good they “should” be. For those songs I just blindly trust whoever picked that song lol

 

Yeah I took a bit of a swing on this one (like most of mine).

When I was recommended the track it was the video which gives waaay more context of the artist and his backstory.

Indeed, appreciate when listening to this playlist it’s certainly a jarring one, didn’t really appreciate it wouldn’t translate here….hey ho.

 

I think with this round I need to make an argument myself for why each song is better than it should be, and if I could come up with one I could justify, I voted for it.
